Opportunity of North Central WI Inc. is a private not for profit agency. All of the organization’s programs and services are supported through service contracts, United Way, annual fundraising events, grants, and private donations. All donations are tax deductible (to the extent they exceed any value received) under the agency’s 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. Monetary and in-kind donations are welcomed and very much appreciated!

Now in its fourth year, the “Celebration of Trees” is a holiday experience for the Central Wisconsin area hosted by Opportunity of North Central Wisconsin, Inc. All proceeds benefit people with disabilities through the agency’s programs and services.

Opening on Thanksgiving Day at the Hotel Mead in Wisconsin Rapids, guests enter an indoor enchanted forest filled with theme decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, and a beautiful assortment of specialty items. All are for sale by silent auction bids throughout the three day event. On Saturday evening at 8:00PM, the bids will close and all trees, wreaths and specialty items will be awarded to the highest bidder. Winners of the wreaths and specialty items take their prizes home with them, and all decorated trees are delivered for free to the winner’s home or business in the Wisconsin Rapids area the very next day (Sunday).

“Breakfast with Santa” is a very popular family event that is held on Saturday during the “Celebration of Trees”. Children and their adult guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet at the Hotel Mead then visit with Santa to let him know what is on their Christmas list this year. It is a beautiful photo opportunity, so be sure to bring your camera! A free admission to the enchanted forest is included in the breakfast ticket. The first 100 children to visit Santa will receive a free toy from one of Santa’s elves! This event has sold out each year, so plan to pick up your “advance sale only” tickets early.

The “Rockin’ Chili Bar” is a delicious way to warm up before rockin’ around the Christmas trees in the enchanted forest. Visitors enjoy a wonderful chili bar buffet with all of the fixin’s and can visit the enchanted forest to bid on their favorite tree or holiday item. Musical entertainment and free admission to the enchanted forest are included with each “Rockin’ Chili Bar” ticket.

Saturday evening is everyone’s last chance to win their favorite tree, wreath, or specialty item! The Christmas music will be playing and guests will be hovering around the bid sheets with pen in hand (except for when they are enjoying complimentary treats and beverages)!
